The Repair Technician II

We are looking for Repair Technicians in our Monroe, NC MRO/Aftermarket facility, one of the most rapidly growing facilities across the company. Under moderate supervision, the incumbent uses standard procedures to perform increasingly complex & in some cases repetitive tasks while developing specialty skills & techniques for testing with moderate troubleshooting, assembling, disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, & performing repair, overhaul & modification operations on components & accessories using approved technical data.

The Repair Technician II

The Repair Technician II must meet all Repair Technician I requirements & demonstrate the aptitude to learn, retain, recall & validate proficiency on all items within the cell in conjunction with the following:

Must participate as a champion in continuous improvement, environmental, health & safety activities, or initiatives through the implementation of the ACE tools
Assume the responsibility of completing the work assigned in a quality & timely manner under moderate to minimal supervision.
Work to specifications & use all required precision instruments, special tools, fixtures & equipment to perform assigned work according to FAA & company regulations.
Perform major & minor assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection & disposition of various types of components & accessories as required.
Review & validate LRU fit, form & function parameters in accordance with approved technical data.
Test, troubleshoot & validate LRU performance in accordance with approved technical data.
Check fits & clearances, tolerances & alignment, making necessary adjustments & modifications to ensure conformance to fit, form, and function per manufacturer’s specifications/configurations.
Read & interpret OEM blueprints & other pertinent documents used for MRO on a variety of components.
Inspect & disposition components & accessories & perform rework/repair, scrap & replace/order components, accessories & LRU’s as required.
Record data to accept or reject criteria to approved technical data, making changes & repairs as required, provide proper parts identification such as part number & serialization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Demonstrate safe work habits & maintain a clean & professional work area & participate in daily cleaning activities.
Utilize various computer systems by entering & retrieving information to perform normal daily activities.
Work in close cooperation with your direct supervisor & other support personnel such as the Shop Engineer, Customer Service, Buyer, & Final Inspectors in a professional manner to resolve issues according to FAA & company regulations as directed.
May interface with internal & external customers (government personnel or auditors) as necessary.
Assume the responsibility of completing the work assigned in a quality & timely manner under direct to moderate supervision.
Work with peers to resolve questions & problems, referring complex issues to higher levels as required.
Work to specifications & use all required tools & equipment to perform assigned work according to FAA & company regulations.
Assist in the major & minor assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection & disposition of various types of components & accessories under direct to moderate supervision as required.
Check & validate LRU fit, form & function parameters in accordance with approved technical data.
Assist with test, troubleshoot & validate LRU performance in accordance with approved technical data.
Assist with minor rework/repair of components & identify scrap components & accessories under direct to moderate supervision as required.

Basic Qualifications:

HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Ability to utilize computer systems (SAP, MS Office, Etc.) to input & retrieve information
Ability to work in a diverse environment and community culture
Proven track record of delivering timely results in ethical and safe manner
Coachable with the ability to follow through on job assignments independently

Analytical skills to independently identify and solve problems
Ability to troubleshoot & be able to use measuring gauges & test equipment
