Our Collins Aerospace York, NE site is a manufacturer of highly engineered precision components supporting both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in generators and Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our Ram Air Turbines have been used to save aircrafts and over 2,000 lives.

Collins York is looking for a motivated and energetic person to join our 1st shift operation.  Performing a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, stockroom, kitting, expediting and shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures.  All work is done in a clean, climate controlled facility where we put safety and quality first in everything we do.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite in York, NE.

Primary Responsibilities:

Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.
Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
Processes purchase orders for spare tooling and materials.
Proficiently uses computer hardware/software.
Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment; records calibration logs of tools and equipment.
Performs operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance.
Oversees inventory and maintains all government tooling property according to military regulations.
Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
AES (automated export system) certification required – with on the job training
Forklift certification required. – with on the job training
Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function.

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires HS diploma and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience.
Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with basic measuring instruments and hand tools.
Experience with shipping or boxing of materials, using SAP.
Experience with computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).
