The Manager, Value Stream Management, leads a large program platform and drives strategic planning. The Manager manages Profit & Loss (P&L), collaborates, leads contract negotiations and spearheads solutions for program risks ensuring customer satisfaction with Pratt & Whitney.

They are part of the Large Commercial Engine (LCE) business which is an important growth segment for Collins Aerospace.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work with the internal team to solve problems to drive customer delight

Present plans and status tasks regularly to customers and executives

Set and monitor annual budgets

Support of customer and supplier proposals and negotiations

Drive product cost to lowest possible target to achieve performance

Interface with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion

Support performance targets and direct work to achieve these targets

Collaborate with a cross functional team to complete tasks on time and on budget

Collaborate cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations

The Manager reports directly to the Large Commercial Engine Senior Program Manager (Value Stream Leader, 17K/24K) up through the Program Director, Program Executive Director to the President of Engine Control Systems.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR

In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working collaboratively with a cross-functional team, managing multiple tasks and ensuring deliverables are met on time

Experience implementing strategies to achieve quality, delivery and cost performance

Customer facing experience managing risk
