We are looking to hire a Manager, Contracts to join our team.

This position is for an experienced contracts professional with knowledge and a technical expertise in contracts administration. Creates proposals, negotiates, and completes contracts.  Provides guidance on contract administration and monitors analyses and coaches less experienced staff.  Recommends process improvements to processes to enhance department performance and effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities:

Drafts, generates, interprets and manages large and sometimes sensitive and complex contract documents and proposals, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.

Directs analysis and prepares reports, as required, to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.

Coaches and guides junior professionals, as required, and reviews their work to ensure output is of quality and in accordance with business objectives.

Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Review contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as, assessing risk

and impact to the proposal utilizing the company resources including legal, operations, and pricing, as necessary

Manages small, medium and large-sized projects

Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contractual matters, coordinating with the Office of General Counsel review, as required

Provides legal advice on warranty (if applicable) and contract administration

Prepares legal documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships

Maintains historical legal records

Advises on Data Rights and Intellectual Property matters and interfaces with the Intellectual Property group, as required

Manage and oversee Offset obligations with international governments

Complete and review financing requests including Progress Payments and Performance Based Payments to US Government customers

Acts as principal interface with internal/external customers on contractual matters

Takes necessary action or coordinates action to resolve any contractual problems with the contract execution team in a timely manner

Normally receives little instruction on day to day work, general instructions on new assignments

Participates in determining objectives of assignment

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with US Government contracting

Ability to achieve a Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferable.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD – 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
