Maintenance Technician II – Electrical / Controls is responsible for the electrical install, troubleshooting and repair of facility and manufacturing equipment, including control instrumentation, calibration, and HVAC systems. 

* Relocation will be considered on a case-by- case basis

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs inspections, preventative maintenance troubleshooting, repair and install on manufacturing and facility equipment including controls and instrumentation.   

Willing to work overtime as necessary including call-in schedule for critical equipment breakdowns. 

Performs other facility install and repair tasks as assigned

Produces a quality product with little/no rework, scrap or customer returns. Strictly adheres to proper procedures (e.g. prints, work instructions).

Supports and participates in work/process improvements.

Follows established environmental, health and safety procedures, including proper disposal of wastes (chemical and non chemical), use of emission controls, (i.e., spray booth filters) and operation of environmental-control equipment.

Uses/wears proper safety equipment (i.e., safety glasses, shoes, hoists and other lifting or moving equipment).

Maintains housekeeping in work area.

Brings environmental, health and safety issues, unsafe acts, and safety improvement suggestions to management’s attention or corrects as appropriate.

Promptly reports accidents or injuries to management and EH&S team.

Basic Qualification:

HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Basic educational competencies, i.e. reading, writing

Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension

Competent with hand tools

Basic computer skills such as research, data entry and retrieval

Ability and willingness to obtain additional certifications and qualifications required to perform job as necessary

Preferred proficiencies:

AOS in Electrical Service Technician, AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology OR similar

2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of HAAS, Mazak, DMG Mori Seiki, or other CNC Machine centers

Knowledge of Monarch manual lathes

Knowledge of Electron Beam Welders

Knowledge of controls, instrumentation, and PLC

Knowledge of HVAC
