We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to join the Environmental Laboratory Staff of the department Engineering Shared Services (ESS). The department is responsible for environmental testing and qualification of avionics and space products according to broadband MIL, DO160 and ECSS test requirements. Testing comprises common vibration and thermal testing and special test & analysis methods.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning, control and execution of environmental simulation related tests
Planning and setting up test rigs, considering mechanical and electrical engineering requirements
Maintenance, calibration and repair of test equipment
Operation of vibration test equipment and combined climate test equipment
Application of environmental simulation requirements in accordance with the following sets of standards: RTCA-DO-160, MIL-STD-810, IP protection classes in accordance with IEC/EN 60529
Responsibility for project execution in terms of scheduling and organization
Preparation of test plans and test specifications
Independent evaluation of data and preparation of test reports in English
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical and/ or Electrical Engineering or comparable studies
European citizenship due to work on classified projects
Professional experience as advantage
Knowledge of physical and electrotechnical load variables
Knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics; schematic design & verification
Experience with software tools for test control, data acquisition, monitoring
Knowledge of common test and measurement methods + experience in instrumentation and control
Good MS Word and Excel skills
Fluent English skills
Strong ability to work in a team and good communication skills
