Collins Aerospace is looking for an established Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering to develop, design and plan layouts. You will plan the sequence of operations for fabrication tools to ensure excellent product performance. You will adapt machine and equipment designs to factory and production standards. You will conduct detailed design work focused on the layout of assembly and materials handling operations and plan the sequence of operations and develop specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
*This position works 100% onsite at our Riverside manufacturing facility*
Primary Responsibilities
Applies scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions.
Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.
Discipline Description Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling.
Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Plans sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
Provides guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
May assist in developing time and cost estimates.
Responsible for providing manufacturing guidance to direct labor employees
Develop & update manufacturing standard work instructions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Capable and knowledgeable with reading and interpreting specifications and engineering drawings/models.
Experienced in the adaptation of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in application of Lean, through Continuous Improvement events.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to multitask, problem solve, and manage resources along with effective time management and organizational skills.
Intermediate knowledge and experience of various operation software and MS Office software.
Robotics and Automation – basics
Six Sigma – Understanding level
Project Management – Basic understanding

The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD – 124,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
