Collins Aerospace in Jacksonville FL is hiring for an experienced EH&S Generalist professional to provide strategic planning, effective communication across all levels of Leadership and Internal Departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

Write, review, update and implement EH&S programs, requirements, reports, and training as required by local site requirements, Collins and RTX Policy and all Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies.
Create, update, and deliver internal Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) training content and external training coordination.
Inspect, audit, assess facility activities related to work practices for compliance as required by local, state, and federal law, Collins and RTX policy.
Support EHS safety committees with the goal of reducing injuries, incidents, and meeting company initiatives.
Work is performed in a team environment to drive EH&S initiatives, analyze and assess trend data.
Coordinates with leaders and internal departments for recognition and elimination of EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.
Manages relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and Collins requirements.
Define requirements, audit program elements, write standard work, implement regulatory compliance activities and provide timely information.
Familiar with federal, state and local S&H regulations and the regulatory agencies governing the assigned facilities
Collaborate with all levels of the organization to identify and eliminate hazards and risks.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a manufacturing or related industry.
Leading trainings
Forming, facilitating and maintaining internal and cross functional teams and relationships
Current RCRA Hazardous Waste Management certification as per 40 CFR 262.16 and 262.17
US DOT HAZMAT Ground Shipper
First Aid, CPR, Blood borne Pathogens
Environmental program management, i.e. TSCA
Experience with cranes & rigging
Industrial hygiene
