Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Material Buyer Planner. This position is for an experienced Materials Buyer Planner professional and will support our wheels and brakes team carrying out procurement processes, cost analysis, and maintain proper inventory levels of materials needed to execute and meet the needs of our international and domestic customers.

This is a hybrid position based in Troy, OH. Individuals will be expected to be onsite approximately two – three days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

Creates and executes (PFEP) plan for every part and maintain master data primarily for non-carbon parts (wheel halves, piston housings, torque plates, adjuster tubes, bearings, bolts) across Global Wheel and Brake Maintenance Repair and Overhaul network
Responds to service center inquiries about replenishment order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Tracks and manages inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP) promise dating, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance
Performs fill rate analytics based on open order demand, consumption, fall out across service centers, customer and programs to support customer deliveries and TATs.
Mitigates risks for short term shortages with internal suppliers to ensure successful customer delivery.
Prepares purchasing orders, STO’s (stock transfer orders), approves payments and pull-in/pushouts to ensure purchasing process goes smoothly, under general practice
Contacts warehouse and supply chain to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. This may also involve researching the market for part shortages including distributors and customers.
Utilize planning reports to review/update as needed the ROP (reorder point) and lot sizes based on multiple factors including supplier performance, demand change, supplier, or shop lead time changes to eliminate shortages.
Less than 10% Travel Internationally and Domestically

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
Microsoft Office Suites experience
MRP/ERP software experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Purchasing and/or planning experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Materials Forecasting Experience
SAP Experience
Aviation or Aerospace Experience
