SUMMARY: 

Our instructors perform a vital role in support of the Counterintelligence Community, providing DoD credential agents with the knowledge and skills essential for conducting sensitive national security investigations.
The program of instruction is designed to build a solid foundation in each critical area with particular emphasis on CI and counterespionage investigations.
The course is practical-exercise based and students apply the concepts, tools, and techniques learned. Instructors are responsible for functions such as but not limited to; Course Development, curriculum development, student evaluations and course critiques. 
This course is a DoD CI Badge and Credentialing course ( DCAC) , which provides an entry level understanding of Defense Agency CI missions and functions. The training provides the CI Agent with the basic knowledge to conduct the diverse duties of a Defense Agency CI Special Agent. The training emphasizes DoD Cl legal issues; CI functional services; CI education briefings; detection of espionage; CI inquiries; preserving CI operational and investigative viability and prosecutorial information; collecting and reporting CI information; and assisting other agencies in Cl matters to include operations and investigations.
This course consists of classroom instruction and practical exercises that frequently exceed 8-hour days.  This course requires work after hours and weekends.
Instructors must have at least an intermediate level of understanding regarding CI activities in support of the five CI functions: investigations, Collection, operations, functional services, and analysis and production.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

5 years experience conducting CI inquiries and/or full scope investigations.
Former AFOSI, NCIS, 35L/E/D/X 211 21 1811 CI not Criminal
Knowledge of legal and regulatory oversight as it applies to CI investigations.
Knowledge of the CI community and experience working with the FBI and DoD investigative agencies.
Knowledge of in-residence, mobile training, and distance learning (LMS) highly desirable.
Experience working with the FBI is highly desired.

ADDITIONALL DESIRED SKILLS:

Analysis and its use/integration in support of investigations
investigative report writing and development of investigative plans; legal principles of investigations; intelligence oversight

 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

TS/SCI with CI poly or ability to obtain poly.
Candidate must be a credentialed Special Agent and must be a graduate of JCITA NSIC, ACIIC and/or the AFCITC, or an IC school equivalent,
Experience processing a CE case from opening to prosecution is highly desired.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Some travel may be required. May spend a lot of time standing due to laboratory conditions.

This position is eligible for the DoD SkillBridge Internship. Must have current TS/SCI with CI poly.
