What You’ll Get to Do
CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Cybersecurity Counter Access Specialist to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw AFB in South Carolina. We’re offering a sign on bonus and relocation assistance for this position.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small town Southern hospitality.

More About the Role
Monitor network traffic to determine vulnerabilities and required fixes; apply established network security procedures, log, and make recommendations for correcting network security incidents; and coordinate escalation of security issues requiring detailed analysis.
Build tactical and strategic network profiles for specific systems and complete network architecture.
Analyze network intrusion detection systems and conduct vulnerability assessments.
Use network intrusion devices and information assurance tools, such as, Internet Security Scanner (ISS), Cisco Security Agent (CSA), and other zero-day personal firewall and security agents.
Provide an overall site-analysis profile to serve as a benchmark to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
Analyze live and historical data for events related to possible network infiltration.
Develop countermeasures to isolate, contain and prevent intrusive activities and secure networks.
Perform network traffic and host analysis to evaluate intruder activities using host and network-based monitoring system.
Conduct network and computer forensics on suspected and confirmed compromised systems.
Use DOD mandated scanning tool to scan for vulnerabilities.
Use vulnerability toolset to identify security weaknesses and shortfalls
Manage and maintain control of network intrusion detection systems (IDS). Ensure end-to-end operations for network and information technology systems.
Perform security device/sensor maintenance, troubleshooting and fault isolation to ensure network connectivity to sensor equipment.
Establish VPNs between sites for protected communications and access control lists to control access to network resources.
Examine logs and information gained from network sniffers or protocol analyzers for possible unauthorized access; identify, track, and record suspected intrusion or actual security breaches; and provide detailed written analyses for legal use.
Schedule, coordinate and attend daily Theater Network Control Central Cyber Defense briefings.
Facilitate weekly Information Assurance teleconferences.
Provide on-call support after hours, on weekends and holidays.
Deploy/travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR to support operations, projects, and training as required (up to 25%).
Travel to CONUS locations as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years’ relevant IT experience; OR 7 or more years’ relevant IT experience.
Relevant experience
Possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server 212 using server images; Experience with implementation of storage solutions, window containers, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
Firewall experience
DoD 857 CSSP-A Baseline Certification (CEH or equivalent)
Completion of additional Professional Certifications.
Network+ or CCNA
ITIL Foundation within 6 days of your start date
