User Experience Designer and Strategist
Key Role:
Serve as the user’s advocate throughout the product design and development process, providing critical user-centric insight that informs product strategy. Applies advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in design
Experience working in cross-functional teams to design large-scale digital experiences that meet business objectives
Experience with the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and interface design
Experience leading and conducting multiple research methodologies including usability testing, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, and interviews
Experience with prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Axure, Sketch, Figma, Balsamiq or InVision
Experience with best practices for information architecture and interaction design, the user-centered design process, and UX principles and techniques
Experience working with cross-functional teams throughout a software development process such as Agile, Waterfall, or Lean
Ability to provide and articulate sample UX work
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Low-code/No-code environments, including Salesforce and ServiceNow
Experience with UX research or design for mobile applications
Experience with Section 508 compliance, and other government guidelines
Experience in visual design
Knowledge of front-end development
Knowledge of end-to-end application development
Ability to work singly or in a team environment in support of established project objectives and milestones
Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills to engage teams and clients, assess needs and drive solutions
UX Certification, Human-Centered Design Certification, or Certification in a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
