Technical Writer and Editor

Key Role:

Write and edit technical documentation, user manuals and training literature. specific Cyber functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience with writing technical documents, technical reports, program reports, and reports to internal and external leadership

2+ years of experience with supporting DoD IT projects

Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint

Experience with Offensive Cyber, including Red Team, concepts and operations

Ability to implement multiple approaches to data gathering

Ability to translate technical information into training and value impact

Ability to apply industry best practices to helping the non-technical comprehend the technical data

TS/SCI clearance

Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge of DoD Red Cyber Operations, including Penetration Testing

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating and interacting with technical staff

Ability to travel 25% of the time

Technical Writing Certifications

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
