Systems Engineer
Key Role:
Support the products, technologies, and ongoing efforts within the client portfolio, and the design, development, and acquisition of IT systems to deliver a reliable tactical network in support of critical missions. Support the integration, configuration, operation, and maintenance of the network as well as troubleshoot and resolve interoperability issues across various platforms. Provide engineering expertise to activities such as development, testing, evaluating, training, and configuration management in support of client products. Provide system engineering support on the transport and networking architecture focused on tactical network capabilities. Support design reviews and perform thorough, in-depth technical evaluations and assessments of network performance and architectures, including support of risk assessments and integration strategies. Support Capability Set (CS) and Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) activities, and provide technical support to evaluate and integrate new technologies to modernize communications. Collaborate with organizations, including PEO C3T, other PMs and PdMs, and other stakeholders, to coordinate the interoperability considerations. Review and understand acquisition documentation, including mission needs statements, operational needs statements, Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Capability Production Documents (CPDs), and technical specifications, for Army tactical communications systems, and translate those requirements to support the development of technical solutions that are standards-based and cost efficient.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in network engineering
Experience designing and implementing LANs or VLANs
Experience with routing protocols, multicast, routing configurations, and IPv4 or IPv6 addressing
Experience with VMware, and network protocol analysis using tools
Knowledge of commercial communications equipment
Knowledge of transport and network architectures
Knowledge of end-to-end network design and performance
Knowledge of voice and data transmission, backbone networks, and tactical communications systems
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Science
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of RF engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
