Software Test Engineer

We’re looking for a software engineer like you to develop efficient and effective software, from vision to production-ready system, in an exciting, agile environment.

As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver complete end-to-end solutions to your clients. Using your software engineering experience, you’ll help analyze the environment to ensure that your team’s solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You’ll strengthen your skills as you master new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:  

2+ years of experience testing software programming applications and systems-of-systems

2+ years of experience with software development with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks

Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, or software products

Ability to configure and manage automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:  

Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications

Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal

Experience developing or operating Offensive Cyber tools, capabilities, and other DoD software packages

Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Knowledge of vulnerability research and design 

Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization

TS/SCI clearance

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $90,900 – $187,500 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $96,000 – $225,000 (annualized USD)
