As a software engineer, youâ??ll solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, Agile environment. Weâ??re looking for someone like you with the skills and experience to build various systems from vision to production-ready systems.
As a software engineer on our team, youâ??ll work directly with your customer to overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like domain driven design alongside open source frameworks and tools like Java and Spring Boot. Youâ??ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and analyze system improvements, and mentor teammates. Using Agile, Java, Python, and other technologies youâ??ll build various technology solutions. Youâ??ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution youâ??re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:
-5+ years of experience with data transfer protocols or network programming, including REST
-2+ years of experience with Remote Procedure Calls, including gRPC or Apache Thrift
-2+ years of experience in interfacing software with databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or non-SQL databases, such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with programming languages, including Java, Python, C/ C++, or JavaScript, or 7+ years of experience with programming languages, including Java, Python, C/ C++, or JavaScript, in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
-Experience with the Agile software development process
-Experience with leading a small team of developers
-Experience with cross domain solutions (CDS), database replication, Docker, and Kubernetes
-Experience with supporting business development initiatives
-Experience in data engineering using tools, including Apache NiFi or StreamSets
-Ability to analyze and solve problems
-Ability to work independently and within a team
-TS/SCI clearance
-Masterâ??s degree
-CompTIA IAT Level II Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individualâ??s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allenâ??s total compensation package for employees.
