Robotic Process Automation Developer

The Opportunity:

As a robotic process automation (RPA) engineer, you know that good software is more than just a nice-looking interface and data. You need the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to help develop a user-focused solution. We’re looking for a software engineer like you to develop efficient and effective automation solutions, from vision to production-ready system, in an exciting, agile environment.

As a RPA engineer on our team, you’ll work alongside health SMEs, data scientists, bioinformaticians, data engineers, and software engineers to automate and accelerate health-focused workflows. You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, while helping to identify and implement system improvements. Using Agile software development and tools like UI Path and Blue Prism you’ll build automated bots to drastically reduce cycle teams. You’ll develop strategies, help growth business, and deliver RPA solutions. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:  

2+ years of experience with designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications and software development in basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks

1+ years of experience with developing RPA solutions using tools, including UiPath or Blue Prism

Experience with writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications

Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, or software products and creating solutions to complex problems in a collaborative, cross-functional team

Experience with providing RPA operational support for robots, end users, target applications, and technical teams

Experience with a ticketing system, including JIRA or ServiceNow

Knowledge of SQL, APIs, and RegEx

Ability to communicate appropriately with multiple stakeholders, including other developers and process subject matter experts

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:  

Experience with Java, Python, C#, C, C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal

Experience with working in a data science, machine learning engineering, or a data engineering role

Experience with using common data analytics and programming languages, including R or Scala

Experience with using Orchestrator

Knowledge of acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization

Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
