Machine Learning Data Scientist, Mid

On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science expertise to create real-world impact. You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team of data analysts, scientists, and engineers, electrical engineers, test engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced environment directly assisting the U.S. Air Force in the testing and certification of new or modified aircraft systems. You’ll work closely with clients to understand the requirements behind every certification effort, and then dig into the data from every test to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop scripts, run automation tools, conduct research, produce rigorous analytical reports, and effectively communicate results to the client in support of their decisions on certification. You’ll guide teammates and help lead the development of algorithms and systems. You’ll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. Ultimately, you’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:?
2+ years of experience with developing data science solutions in Python
Experience with data cleaning, data exploration, data mining, data visualization, and data analytics
Experience manipulating databases, including in SQL
Experience with data pipelines in a cloud infrastructure, such as AWS
Experience with a broad range of AI/ML capabilities, including supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques
Ability to manage data science projects, including team coordination
Ability to document analyses and clearly communicate technical concepts in written and verbal form
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field or 3+ years of experience with analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics, or computer science in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:?
Experience working with AWS
Experience working with sensor data and signal processing
Experience integrating data science solutions into existing production environments
Experience writing and editing a variety of technical documentation in the SDLC
Experience with software development
Experience handling streaming data from multiple sources
Experience with big data analysis programming techniques and technologies
