Full Stack Software Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Do you want to build and deliver a powerhouse system that will deliver key functionality to the VA? As a software developer, you’ll deliver solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment to modernize an existing VA system using microservices.

As a software developer on our team, you’ll work directly with our customers to overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like microservices, alongside open-source frameworks and tools like Spring Boot, Java, Spring, Hibernate, and ReactJS with consistent performance and scalability. You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques to implement system improvements and mentor teammates. Using Agile methodology, you’ll code and deliver the solution that supports the current architecture and operating environment, as well as drive future functionality and enhancements. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

5+ years of experience with Java development
Experience with setting up SpringBoot Application, JSP, Docker, or Kubernetes
Knowledge of modern source control systems
Ability to understand front-end users requirements, including ReactJS
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with software development or Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with software development

Nice If You Have:

Experience with containerization technologies
Experience with supporting the federal government, VA, or Healthcare IT
Knowledge of microservices development
Knowledge of Grafana
Knowledge of CMMI Maturity Level 3

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800 – $186,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
