Electrical Engineer, Lead
Key Role:
Provide technical expertise in the design, development, documentation, installation, validation and verification, qualification, and airworthiness certification of aerospace systems. Work within an interdisciplinary team to ensure successful execution of programs through direct involvement in the execution of tasks in accordance with integrated management plans. Serve as the customer primary technical point of contact in coordination with the program manager. Lead the successful integration and test of electrical and avionics systems on aircraft through ground and flight testing. Serve as a technical resource in support of business capture and proposal development efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience as an electrical engineer in aerospace programs
Experience with the design, modification, documentation, installation, and certification of aircraft electrical and avionics systems for military or civil applications
Experience in industry best practices for the development, deployment, and qualification of aerospace systems integration, aircraft modification, and MRO activities
Experience in the analysis and design of electrical wiring systems, including military standards and best practices, such as wire, cable, connectors, shielding, and aerospace hardware
Experience with USAF maintenance practices, technical orders, and time compliance technical orders
Experience in performing electrical and thermal loads analysis and weight and balance reports
Experience with working onboard aircraft during the installation, validation, and verification of modifications
Ability to interface with customer stakeholders to fully understand, quantify, and define the customer requirements
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with developing and obtaining airworthiness certificates
Experience with electrical design software, including SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, technical publications, technical data package development, logistics, system provisioning, and supply
Experience in aerospace systems maintenance and modification programs and processes
Knowledge of government contracting process, rules, and regulations
Ability to work as part of an integrated account and opportunity capture team in a matrixed organization with a collaborative and team-centric culture
Ability to obtain comprehensive understanding of the firm’s offerings and to cross-sell capabilities and solutions into adjacent markets
Ability to engage key client stakeholders to discuss firm capabilities and services
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,400.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
