The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and technical knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. As a database administrator with a solid background in SQL Server, Access, and MySQL databases, you know how to manage and secure database technology. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting the Navy.
On our team, you’ll create, normalize, and maintain a database consolidating data from multiple disparate data sources to support reporting and visualization. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you develop and contribute to policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools like SQL Server, Access, MySQL, and Visio to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.
In this role, you’ll closely impact the Navy by turning disparate data sources into meaningful information by consolidation, reporting, and visualization. With your technical experience, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:??
4+ years of experience as a database administrator supporting the DoD
Experience executing database normalization of complex databases to 4th normal form
Knowledge of complex queries, including joins, stored procedures, triggers, database imports and exports, and database diagraming
Secret clearance?
Bachelor’s degree
?
Nice If You Have:??
Experience exporting data from SQL Server to Access and importing from Access to SQL Server in a repeatable process
Knowledge of database visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of excellent client-facing or consulting skills
Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
Database Certification?

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
