Cyber Range Engineer

Key Role:

Provide on-site, realistic cybersecurity environments at the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) for Test and Evaluation (T&E) of major Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force (CMF). The NCRC may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia and international partners.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with Computer Network Operations/Computer Network Defense/Computer Network Exploitation (CNO/CND/CNE) platforms

Experience with designing, implementing, administering, or troubleshooting complex enterprise infrastructures with various operating systems and services

Knowledge of defensive and offensive cyber tools, tactics, and techniques

Knowledge of secure engineering principles

Ability to translate customer requirements into realistic technical solutions

Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED

Security+ or IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with planning or conducting Defensive or Cyber Operations, exercises, and training events

Experience working with platform development, training, or testing
organizations, end-users, and system developers

Experience participating in or conducting cyber “table top” exercises

Experience designing realistic terrain, including global gray and target environments

Knowledge of relevant DoD testing or training policy directives

Knowledge of cyber range tools, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and traffic generation

Top Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree

CCNA, CCNP, CEH, RHSCA, Certified Penetration Tester (CPT) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
