Analyst and Linguist

Key Role:

Leverage linguistic expertise and employ independent research and analysis techniques in support of the DoD mission. Leverage knowledge of the language and current events to produce high quality translations, gists, and sight translations of material, provide quality control of others’ translations, and guide operational tactics and methodologies in a high tempo environment. Identify and compile relevant information to author accurate, articulate, and time sensitive products on a wide range of topics in support of client requirements. Assist with the development of sound operational tools and strategies. Participate in senior level briefings and meetings to provide context and subject matter expertise to key decision makers.

Basic Qualifications:

-Knowledge of using Adobe and Microsoft Office products

-Ability to show a score of Level 3 or higher on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) in the Mandarin and English languages

-Ability to produce client-ready, time sensitive products and reports per client requirements

-Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which may require working non-standard hours

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 9 years of experience in Mandarin to English translations and analysis, Associate’s degree and 7 years of experience in Mandarin to English translations and analysis, or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in Mandarin to English translation and analysis

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with open source intelligence (OSINT) research

-Experience with DoD CI and collection initiatives or programs

-Experience as a counterintelligence or HUMINT officer

-Experience with Cyber threat analysis or computer network operations

-Experience with US counter threat operations and analysis

-Experience with social networking platforms, applications, and trends

-OS301, OS302, or CASO certifications

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
