Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an Intermediate Cyber Security Engineer to join our team supporting the United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center under the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services contract located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The C5ISR Center is an applied research and advanced technology development center which develops and integrates C5ISR technologies that enable information dominance and decisive lethality for the networked Warfighters. The C5ISR Center provides the Army with secure communications/networking technologies through R&D innovations. The successful candidate will serve in a key position as a Cyber Security Eng supporting CSIA engineering and operations.
This position designs, tests and implements security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate systems. Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. May help maintain hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols, and administer security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems. Must have experience (a minimum 5 years) in information assurance, information security, or cyber security.
Position will support an NSA approved Cross Domain Solution (CDS) LBSA team, requiring experience in conducting hands-on CDS security assessments, networking, Linux, virtual machines, containers, cyber applications, network appliances, network or system administration, and software/scripting development, documenting findings and briefing results. Also requires knowledge on the CDS Raise the Bar (RTB) requirements and architectures, AR 25-2 Cybersecurity, and DoDI 8540.01 Cross Domain (CD) Policy, with understanding of multiple security assessment applications and the ability to create applications when those tools will not suffice for an assessment.
The position requires ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum education of Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum degree requirement of Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required. Minimum years of experience of 5 years. 8 years of additional Relevant Experience may be substituted for education requirement.
Must have at a minimum 5 years’ experience in information assurance, information security, or cyber security. Professionally recognized cybersecurity certifications per DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M
