Litigation Support Project Manager
Support the Division Director and Division management in all phases of work.
While fostering an environment of teamwork, respect, competence, and accountability, perform the following staffing related activities for a remote workforce:
Assist in providing management oversight of the staff in our various Districts, who are largely covered by the Service Contract Act.
Actively works with Recruiting on the candidate selection process, including developing guidelines, scopes of work, interviews, and any other requirement to secure the best talent for the position.
Manage new employee onboarding and assimilation, staff timesheet approval, off-board requirements.
Manage performance of staff including evaluation, performance discussions, merit process, and employee relations, etc. Ensures staff receive regular constructive performance feedback, prompt resolution of problems, and time and opportunity to grow.
Promotes staff development through coaching, mentoring, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
In support of project management, perform the following activities: o Interface with Government attorneys, CORs, Case Managers, and other component staff.
Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports using critical analysis to develop conclusions and recommend next steps and presenting them to internal as well as external stakeholders.
Helps track and formulate project budgets and developing level-of-effort (LOE) projections, maintain and update project tracking logs, track case financials/spend, and monitor the health and scope across projects (i. e. , time, cost, and resource statuses/impacts) .
Assist in Identifying potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
Engage with Subcontracts Administration to manage subcontractors and vendors.
• In support of contract management, proposals, and task order bids activities, perform the following activities:
Review contact opportunities, provide input into proposal questions, help draft responses, assist with pricing efforts, and participate in candidate recruitment activities.
Coordinate with internal corporate resources such as Finance, HR, Accounting, Recruiting, and Procurement to facilitate project needs and requirements.
• In support of invoicing efforts, perform the following activities:
Respond to questions on funding and invoicing.
Maintain spreadsheets for tracking and monitoring funding. Alert leadership to specific spending thresholds.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
At least five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in project management.
At least four (4) years of prior experience managing a small team of individuals including supervising and managing direct reports.
Requires outstanding writing skills; outstanding oral communication skills; outstanding management skills.
Undergraduate degree or other pertinent degree valued.
Government Contracting experience and knowledge of the Government’s data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based database, and other applications.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe Acrobat, required.
Need to be proactive, organized and detail oriented.
Experience managing a remote work staff.
Able to establish and maintain collective relationships with co-workers, team members, and a trusted partner rapport with client(s) .
Preferred Qualifications
:
Advanced degree or Juris Doctor (JD) is desirable.
Certifications preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) .
Prior work in a legal setting with eDiscovery knowledge and exemplary customer communication skills preferred.
SCA (Service Contract Act) experience preferred.
