Data Specialist II

       

Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.
Develops, evaluates and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.
Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides
Senior Data Specialist with detailed notice of deficiencies. Performs advanced tasks related to exporting data from contractor and DOJ databases, including: identifying data for export, confirming redactions and other markups, ensuring that exports comply with applicable ESI specifications, and quality check of exported data.
Candidate will be working with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP) with their Division of Litigation Technology & Analysis (DLTA) team. Duties in this role will include;
Using software applications to ingest and process loose native files, archives, emails, and other data for document review.
Performing file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.
Identifying and correcting problems with data, including but not limited to issues with metadata, file types, extracted text, OCR, image quality, and load files.
Using software applications to execute document productions, including tiffing, bates numbering, performing OCR, and creating load files.

Required:

Must have at least two years’ experience performing eDiscovery roles, including but not limited to electronic files processing, image and data file conversion, database loads and retrieval, and quality assurance.
Experience with LAW PreDiscovery and Relativity.
Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance

Preferred:

Familiarity with Nuix software is valued
Experience moving Concordance databases into Relativity is highly preferred.
