Amentum has an opportunity for a highly qualified Intelligence Plans and Operations Research SME to support a new initiative called STORMBREAKER within INDOPACOM in providing planners with an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled capability to assist with Course of Action (COA) development, analysis and wargaming support. You will use intelligence and analytic methods to assess COAs for realistic outcomes and advise developers of the Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) system on how best to represent the Army capabilities within C2IE and integrate into the AI-enabled Joint Operational Planning Toolkit (JOPT). You will provide insights to developers on the value of operational and intelligence information flow (GFM, DRRS, ORION, MIDB, MARS, etc.) to enable decision makers to assess and evaluate best use of Army combat data in the Joint Planning Process (JPP). You will also advise developers working with the STORMBREAKER COA analysis wargame how to relay the information into a wargaming scenario.
Provide high-value analysis, assessment, test and evaluation of new capabilities to integrate Red Force capabilities onto the plans, operations and the wargaming process.
Conduct research, inform new capabilities, and support operational, and strategic Joint plans.
Provide support for the development, planning, coordination, integration, execution, and assessment of Red Force Capabilities.
Recommend how to evaluate Red Force capabilities and strategies against operational plans.
Recommend how to represent and evaluate Red Force capabilities to enhance Blue Force COA development and COA analysis.
Identify operational use cases for enhancements in intelligence capabilities and provide developers with insights on integration options that can translate into system upgrades.
Identify adversary capabilities and assist with integration concepts for the C2IE, JOPT and STORMBREAKER wargame.
Experience in the following areas: big-data analytics, adversary force posture and capability, Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operating Environment (JIPOE), weapon systems and Joint Plans.
10 years of experience in military plans and/or intelligence related field
Experience in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate operations and processes and to facilitate complex decision-making (i.e., Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) assessments).
Experience preparing reports that outline and rank proposed solutions and present a range of possible alternatives.
Performs with attention-to-detail and operates with a sense of urgency while delivering high quality client-facing deliverables.
10 years of experience with planning process at the theater level Operations Plans (OPLANS), Contingency Plans (CONPLANS) and Theater Campaign Planning (TCP).
10 years of experience operating in the INDOPACOM Area of Operations.
Knowledgeable of Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE).
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate themes, ideas, and other insights to clients, company management, and relevant stakeholders.
Performs with attention to detail and operates with a sense of urgency while delivering high quality client-facing deliverables.
Able to adjust to frequent changes in priorities, effectively managing time and working across multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Must have an Active Top-Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) trained (e.g. AOC 49A).
Graduate of ORSA Military Applications Course I (ORSA MAC I).
Experience conducting conceptual studies and analyses of Service and/or Department of Defense programs dealing with alternative military strategies, force designs, strategic force issues, logistics management, weapon systems, and their associated resource management implications.
Knowledge of operational level of warfare with any of one domains (ground, sea, air, space, and cyber).
Knowledge of models of fielded forces and capabilities for both blue and red forces
Master’s degree desired.
