Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Software Engineer – Robotics to support PEO CSCSS.
This position provides Software Engineering support for concepts, plans, requirements, design, development, implementation, and integration of systems.
This position is at a client site but may have an option for hybrid/remote work. Occasional travel may be required (up to 25% of the time but is typically under 5%) . Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the lead deployment of the software development processes for the ground vehicle autonomous software.
Aligns with the process group to understand their needs and drive changes required for the product line.
Mentors the development team on state-of-the-art clean code and design documentation techniques, while keeping it aligned with the software release processes.
Works on software development as well as in-vehicle integration topics for autonomous ground vehicle systems.
Desired Experience
Experience in implementing DO-178C (SDP, SVP, etc. ) or ISO26262 processes.
Experience working with C, Python, and Java.
Experience working with GIT, Docker, Agile, Bitbucket, Jira, and SIL.
Robotics and autonomous systems experience, e. g. , Robotics Operating Systems.
Required Skills and
Qualifications:
B. S. in Computer Science, EE/CE with at least 5 years of software development experience.
Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U. S. Citizenship is required.
Proficiency in C++/C Experience in developing safety critical software development environments, e. g. ISO26262, DO-178B/C.
Preferred Qualifications
:
M. S. in Computer Science, EE/CE with at least 8-10 years of software development experience.
