RESPONSIBILITIES
Peraton is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Threat Analyst to support the Regional Cyber Center- Conus at Fort Huachuca, AZ. This position requires the applicant to have active/current certifications and an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
In this position the individual will provide detailed threat analysis of identified events in support of the U.S. Army’s computer/network.
Responsibilities:
Participate as a team member performing threat analyses to identify, assess and counter threats
Contribute to development of analytical threat models and provides functional guidance and direction to threat studies and the development of new signatures and detection methods
Support the team performing expert-level research and analysis of intelligence and related data
Provide advice, guidance, and direction to threat studies team
Support other RCC-C teams as required that support intelligence functions
Meet with project team members to facilitate and coordinate study activities
Conduct project briefings to assess study progress and to ensure consistency in meeting study objectives
Prepare, submit, and present reports
Research various forms of intelligence (classified, unclassified, open source)
Use various intelligence tools in the performance of daily activities
Stay current on current Cyber Security trends, methods, identification, remediation, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma with 6 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field with 3-4 years’ experience
Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification: One of the following: (Security + CE, GSEC, CCNA-Security, or SSCP)
Additional required active DoD 8570 certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
Computing Environment Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
Knowledge of threat/war doctrine and concepts and threat forces
Knowledge of advanced threat analysis
Knowledge of Department of Defense and service level (Army, Navy, Air Force) intelligence communities, including collection methods and production resources and responsibilities
Ability to control and handle classified information
Working knowledge with military chain of command and communications/information security
U.S. Citizen
Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Cyber Security
Familiarity/experience with U.S. Army policies and procedures
Experience with cyber security controls as used in a DoD setting
Demonstrated working knowledge in analyzing network activities and developing response
Demonstrated experience in developing event reports
Demonstrated working experience with the following tools: (SNORT, Wireshark, HBSS/AESS, etc.)
Prior RCC experience
Experience in Threat and Vulnerability Analysis

Colorado Salary Minimum: $52,900
Colorado Salary Maximum: $128,500
